Zoom app is a tool allowing you to connect to Apostle Life Ministry services, LIVE, using your telephone, cell phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer.
 
 
 
 
  1. To join the video/audio Bible Study livestream, from your computing device or cell phone, click on the link above: "Join a scheduled Bible Study meeting." Online messages requesting you to download the Zoom Workplace app can be ignored, select Join from your browser link instead. (Downloading of the Zoom Workplace app is optional, and is NOT required for these services.) 

  2. If a zoom meeting is scheduled and active, you will be placed in a waiting room ... until the host acknowledges you.

To join the Bible Study, "audio" only:
 
Calling the Bible Study, "audio" only  - Instructions from your cell phone: The instructions below contain four (4) different methods to access the Bible Study via audio. You only need to become comfortable with one (1) method.
 
I.   ZOOM’S “ONE TAP” DIALING lets you instantly join a scheduled meeting from your smartphone or computing device where the telephone link/dialing app has been enabled, by simply tapping one of the designated meeting phone numbers shown on Apostle Life Ministry’s Zoom Services webpage. When it works as designed, you hear:

1. “Welcome to Zoom. Enter your meeting ID followed by #.” You then hear the phone automatically dialing and entering the meeting ID number.
2. The next message states to enter your Participant ID, which you are to ignore.
3. You are then instructed to Press the # key, which you should do.
4. If the meeting has not started, you will be told that the “Meeting has not started and you can wait or call back later.” (You can stay on the line until the meeting is started.)
5. If the meeting has started you will be instructed to RECORD your name and Press #. After recording your name and pressing the pound key, you will be told that you have been admitted to the Waiting Room, and that you are muted. To unmute yourself press *6.
6. You will be admitted to Bible Study momentarily.

Zoom’s One Tap Dialing Not Working

"One Tap" dialing has its faults and does not always work. Especially with iPhones. Sometimes, it will dial the telephone number, but will not automatically enter the meeting ID. If this happens, you can enter the ZOOM Meeting ID number: 81928614902# manually. Other times, it may not attempt to dial the number at all. In either case, following one of the instructions below will eliminate the problem, by creating a Zoom Bible Study Contact on your mobile device.

II.   iPhone - SETTING UP AUDIO DIALING (You only need to set this up one time)

a) To enter the number manually, create a new contact on your iPhone. Name the contact “Zoom Bible Study” or a name of your choosing.

b) Add a telephone number to the new contact by entering one of the following telephone numbers (including plus sign, commas and pound sign): +16469313860,,81928614902#  or  +19292056099,,81928614902#

On iPhone, pressing the Pause key creates a Comma.
 
How to Insert a Pause (Comma) on an iPhone Keyboard:
 
o Access Symbol Keyboard: On the iPhone keypad, tap the + * # key.
o Insert the Pause: Tap the Pause key that appears. This will insert a single comma into the number field.
o For Multiple Commas:
    • Note: The keyboard automatically switches back to the number layout after one press.
    • To add a second comma, tap + * # again, then tap Pause.
o Complete the Entry: Finish entering the remaining numbers.
o Save: Don't forget to Save the contact information when finished.

Once entered as a telephone number in your cell phone's telephone directory, the phone will dial the telephone number and enter the meeting ID automatically, whenever you call the Bible Study line. You will then follow the instructions above, beginning with Step 2. (Participant ID) through Step 6.

III.   Android - SETTING UP AUDIO DIALING (You only need to set this up one time)

c) To enter the number manually, create a new contact on your Android phone. Name the contact “Zoom Bible Study” or a name of your choosing.

d) Add a telephone number to the new contact by entering one of the following telephone numbers (including plus sign, commas and pound sign): +16469313860,,81928614902# or +19292056099,,81928614902#

On Android, pressing the Asterick key creates a Comma.
 
How to Insert a Pause (Comma) on an Android Keyboard:

o Access the Secret Symbol: On the Android dialing keypad, locate the asterisk (*) key.
o Insert the Pause: Press and hold down the * key for a couple of seconds. The character will automatically change and insert a comma into the phone number.
o For Multiple Commas:
    • Note: Unlike the iPhone, the Android keyboard lets you stay right where you are.
    • To add a second comma, simply press and hold down the * key again. Repeat this for as many 2-second pauses as you need.
o Alternative Method (Menu): If the hold-down trick doesn't work on your specific model, tap the three vertical dots (Menu) or More button on the dial pad screen, and select Add 2-sec pause.
o Complete and Save: Finish typing the remaining numbers, and don't forget to Save the contact information when you're done.

Once entered as a telephone number in your cell phone's telephone directory, the phone will dial the telephone number and enter the meeting ID automatically, whenever you call the Bible Study line. You will then follow the instructions above, beginning with Step 2. (Participant ID) through Step 6.

IV.   ALTERNATELY, COPYING THE TELEPHONE NUMBER INTO A NEW CONTACT

e) Using your mobil device, go to the Apostle Life Ministry webpage (apostlelifeministry.org), Click on Zoom Services.
f) Scroll down the page and Copy one of the telephone numbers for Bible Study, starting with the + sign and ending with the # sign: +16469313860,,81928614902#  or  +19292056099,,81928614902#
g) Create a new contact on your iPhone or Android. Name the contact “Zoom Bible Study” or a name of your choosing.
h) Select to add a telephone number.
i) Paste the entire number (including plus sign, commas and pound sign) into the number field. So the phone number will be: +16469313860,,81928614902# or +19292056099,,81928614902#

Once entered as a telephone number in your cell phone's telephone directory, the phone will dial the telephone number and enter the meeting ID automatically, whenever you call the Bible Study line. You will then follow the instructions above, beginning with Step 2. (Participant ID) through Step 6.
